Mike; "Andrew, I need a press release doing, can you come down, take a quick shot and knock something up?"

The Press Release was because Mike Wheeler at Rardley Motors found he had two, blue Ferrari 365 GTB/4s available, having previously sold two already this year! So we were handed the keys to SPD 752L, a beautiful dark blue 1972 'Daytona', one of only 156 imported into the UK, for an hour to photograph.

Well it took about 5 seconds for us to slip into the creme hide bucket seats and behind the Ferrari badged wheel, pump the go peddle three times before turning over 12 cylinders of pure Italian, resulting in a satisfying burble from the quad exhausts. Manly snick the dog-leg box into first and we are trundling down the road to Grayshott Spa for the shoot. It quick becomes clear this is an awesome machine that needs careful handling - there are no wing mirrors (never on the options list), the ride is jiggly and the gearbox reluctant when cold.

Arriving at the Spa we quickly scout the perfect spot on a flat-white day, with nice back-drops and light and spend two hours crawling all over this very high-quality car that has featured in many magazine articles and DVDs, including Auto Italia's front cover and Clarkson's Top 100.
